Good time...

I had a date last night.
I almost cancelled it.
So glad I didn't.

We went to dinner, and talked for 2 hours but it felt like 20 minutes. He was funny, attractive, smart, and polite. We laughed the entire time. The conversation was so easy, I've NEVER been in a date like that before. I didn't feel like I was on a job interview. After dinner we stood in the parking lot of the Olive Garden and talked for another hour.

I used to sit next to a guy at work who is one of the funniest guys I have ever met. We would laugh all of the time, and he is so witty that I literally wet my pants one day because I was laughing so hard. (after 4 children that doesn't take much) He is in is early 20's and I felt like an older sister to him. I adore this kid. I would always tell him if I could find someone as funny as him I would be a happy woman. After my date I realized that I had just met someone like that.

I'm not saying he is the "one" (not even sure I believe in the "one") - he may never call me again.

This date restored faith in me that there are men out there that make all of the bad dates worth it. It makes me want to keep trying because if there is someone out there like that for me I want to find him.

He mad me laugh, he made me feel attractive and I had a good time. That's a pretty good way to spend a Saturday night!

Oh, Laurie... I can so relate. Makes you laugh, feel attractive, and treats you good. Love the cartoon. I can say I might have done something similar to that very recently. I've thought about blogging about my dating stories. They are definitely interesting.
